Wow, I can’t believe how quickly the last few weeks have gone! ….the day has come for me to travel to training camp and meet my fellow missionaries. It’s taken me a whole week just to figure out what I need to take! Haha, but I’ve got there. I’m so excited, pretty apprehensive actually, knowing I will be stepping in to the unknown – but a father always leads, and so I will be taking the Lords hand and trusting in Him every step of the way.
With regards to fundraising, I am super close now to my goal!! Praise God, I can’t quite believe it – I am at 95%. The challenge was a big one at the very beginning, and to see how far I’ve got is testament to trusting God alone. All hands on deck now for the last push to 100%. The support raising side of things has been a whole journey in itself! It’s definitely opened my eyes to the ‘not so British’ way of asking people to part with their money, especially when living costs are so so high at the moment – so just a massive THANKYOU to all who have partnered with me and contributed to this amazing cause. It is so appreciated and will go a long way to change the lives of those we meet during our time in SE Asia. I’ve definitely learnt to step out of my comfort zone and trust in Gods provision – whatever the response to my mission. The number one take-home tip?…the bolder the better! No matter the outcome, it’s not my ask…it’s a God ask.
