…and then my time in SE Asia came to an end. Can’t believe it’s all over! It’s been so great to be home, but I find my mind constantly reminiscing and being transported back to amazing experiences shared when I look through my never-ending camera roll – what a truly unforgettable 9 weeks is has really been out on the mission field, doing life alongside this inspiring group of believers. Now I understand why 2 months feels like such a short trip compared to long term mission stints…I didn’t want it to end!

Even though my experiences in Indonesia and Thailand were drastically different – one thing remained constant, Gods love and grace…for us and most importantly for those we met along the way, and despite the language barrier – the amazing relationships we’ve been blessed to nurture during our time out there too.

God has taught me a lot on this journey. Loving others can present itself in many different ways, for many different people – there’s no one size fits all. He’s also taught me what dying to my preferences really looks like, on a trip where God was leading the way throughout. Relinquishing that sense of control and preference of how things should be done was a much needed learning curve for me – a ‘pruning season’ if you will, was had by the majority of us on an ever changing mission, whether on super long travel days or working with the charities. Being flexible had to be our new priority.

This experience has changed me for the better and I can’t thank everyone enough for their generosity, kindness and prayers along the way…I truly couldn’t have done the work God placed on my heart without any of you – many of whom will be hopefully reading this blog! It’s been amazing to see my subscriber list slowly grow 😊. I plan to catch up with you all in due course, but I would still love to send out my gratitude in making my dream a reality. On behalf of those we’ve helped and loved on along the way…THANKYOU x

I feel so blessed to have been able to do my part in touching the lives of those in need the most, and I plan to continue to do so now I am back home. I’m not sure what that will look like in Gods eyes yet, but my heart is so full just thinking about all the ways I can continue to serve those now closer to home…

Thankyou so much for being on this journey with me,

With all my love and gratitude…

Jenny x
